Tuo docs

Disclaimer

The terms on which this documentation and the Tuo protocol are provided, and the risks you accept by using them.

This page is pending review by legal counsel. It describes the protocol accurately as of publication, but it is not yet a reviewed legal document and may change.

Information only

This documentation is provided for general information. Nothing in it is investment, financial, legal, tax or accounting advice, and nothing in it is an offer, solicitation or recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset or to use any product. You are responsible for your own decisions and for taking independent professional advice where appropriate.

No offer, no guarantee

Tuo does not offer a security, a deposit, a fund interest or a managed account. A position is a set of on-chain assets you control through a transferable NFT, rebalanced by software according to a published strategy. Nothing about that arrangement guarantees a return, protects your capital or promises liquidity at any particular time or price.

Every return figure in this documentation and in the app, including target APY and expected drawdown, comes from backtests over past market data. A backtest describes what a strategy aimed for in the past. It is not a forecast, and past performance does not indicate future results.

Capital at risk

Using Tuo can result in the loss of some or all of the capital you deposit. Without limitation, you accept the risks described in the Risks section, including:

  • Market and strategy risk: the hedge removes most but not all price exposure; ranges can stop earning; funding can be a cost; a hedge can be liquidated.
  • Counterparty and venue risk: the hedge leg is held at a Tuo-operated account on Hyperliquid, outside the vault, for as long as a hedge is open; Hyperliquid, Circle's CCTP bridge and the USDC issuer are third parties Tuo does not control.
  • Smart contract and oracle risk: the contracts are immutable and cannot be patched; pricing relies on Uniswap pool time-weighted averages; an independent external security review has not yet been completed.
  • Operational risk: the strategy depends on off-chain software and signing infrastructure operated by Tuo.

Software provided as is

The Tuo smart contracts, the app and the engine are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tuo and its contributors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the protocol, the app or this documentation.

What Tuo can and cannot do

Tuo can pause new deposits. Tuo cannot block, delay or veto a withdrawal: the position owner can always exit through the normal two-step withdrawal or, 24 hours after requesting one, through the emergency withdrawal, whether or not Tuo's systems are running. Tuo cannot change the 30% performance fee or upgrade the contracts. See Roles and admin controls.

Jurisdiction and eligibility

The app does not collect identity information. That is a description of the software, not a statement that using it is lawful where you are. Access to and use of decentralised finance products is restricted or prohibited in some jurisdictions, and may be prohibited for some persons. By using Tuo you represent that doing so is lawful for you, and you accept sole responsibility for complying with the laws, regulations and tax obligations that apply to you. Tuo may restrict access from any jurisdiction at any time.

Accuracy of this documentation

Tuo makes reasonable efforts to keep this documentation accurate and current. Where it disagrees with the deployed smart contracts, the contracts govern. Where it disagrees with the app, check the Changelog and the Deployed addresses page for the version in force.

Third-party content

Links to third-party sites and services are provided for convenience. Tuo does not control them, does not endorse them and is not responsible for their content, availability or conduct.
